Donate to the Community Center

Your Contributions impacts the lives of the families in Southern West Virginia.  During the Pandemic the LJHCC assisted the community and provided:

  • Five outreach Feeding sites for Children served 5,500 meals monthly

  • COVID-19 Drive Thru testing site 

  • Nursing Student exams April 28, 2020 in the Marshall Computer lab

  • Absentee Polling site June 2-June 9

  • Senior Drive Thru meals each Friday

  • Food Distribution by Facing Hunger June 25, 2020

  • “Virtual” Energy Express will be held this summer and students will be instructed to attend the LJH outreach sites for meals

  • Testing site for Army National Guard recruits (computer lab)

  • LJHCC was designated as part of the Gilbert Emergency Operations Team

  • LJHCC was designated as a member of the Mingo County Coronavirus Coalition

  • Virtual Exercise classes for Senior members 

  • Free Daycamps for Children

  • Drive Thur Back to School Bash (free school supplies)

The Larry Joe Harless Community Center is a non-profit 501 (3) (c) charitable organization dedicated to serving the needs of the community.



From an operational standpoint, our income does not meet expenses, and we run a yearly operating deficit.  That's why we ask you to help support this worthy endeavor.
